This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the standards and practices that Junior Adventures Group Pty Ltd ("Junior Adventures Group") expects from all its suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors (collectively referred to as "Suppliers"). This Code applies to all Suppliers who provide goods or services to Junior Adventures Group.
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Suppliers should also adhere to industry-specific laws and standards, including quality and safety
guidelines.
Junior Adventures Group suppliers are required to exhibit dedication to upholding human rights and embracing equitable employment and engagement practices. It is imperative that these practices are in strict alignment with the principles outlined in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the fundamental conventions established by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). This commitment further solidifies our stance on ethical and responsible sourcing within our supply chains.
We hold a set of clear expectations for our suppliers, mandating that they:
a) Conduct their business, including producing goods and providing services, in a manner that does not involve any conduct with forms of Modern Slavery.
b) Refrain from involving any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary prison labour.
c) Suppliers are required to adhere to all pertinent local and national laws and regulations concerning employment practices, benefits, health, and safety, as well as anti-discrimination
measures.
d) Assure that workers are not compelled to submit monetary deposits or surrender identity documents, except in cases where it is mandated by law. In such instances, any provided
documents must be promptly returned once the worker's identity is verified.
e) Provide workers with the freedom to discontinue their labour and services, granting them the ability to give reasonable notice.
f) Not participating in or benefiting from any form of human trafficking. This encompasses actions such as recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring, or receipt of individuals with force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power, or exploiting their vulnerability.
g) Establish comprehensive and reasonable policies, controls, procedures, and training programs to prevent, detect, evaluate, manage, and address any adverse human rights
impacts or breaches within their operations and supply chains.

Our commitment is to support children's development, and we strongly condemn the practice of child labour. Suppliers, thus, must strictly adhere to all applicable laws and labour standards regarding the minimum working age, ensuring that employees are not younger than the age stipulated by these laws.
Suppliers are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
a) Strictly abide by all pertinent laws and regulations concerning wages, working hours, and workers' compensation insurance.
b) Guarantee that all workers receive their legally mandated minimum wages, entitled benefits, superannuation contributions, proper leave allowances, and requisite time off for
legally acknowledged holidays.
c) Provide workers with easily comprehensible information about the terms of their employment prior to commencing work.
d) Ensure timely and proper payment of workers' wages as mandated by the relevant laws without utilising wage deductions as a form of disciplinary action. Overtime work is to be
reasonable and compensated according to the relevant laws and regulations.
The supplier is obligated to uphold the workers' fundamental right to join or establish unions and engage in collective bargaining or to choose not to participate if they desire. Should the freedom of association and collective bargaining be limited due to prevailing laws and regulations in the relevant country, the employees must retain the liberty to establish alternative avenues for independent and unfettered association and collective bargaining.
Junior Adventures Group maintains a steadfast commitment to nurturing a culture that prioritises health and safety awareness, ensuring the proactive identification, resolution, and control of workplace risks. This endeavour encompasses a comprehensive array of measures that align with our pledge to uphold the stipulated laws and regulations and a higher standard of practice.
Suppliers engaged with Junior Adventures Group are expected to:
a) Unwaveringly comply with health and safety laws, regulations, standards, and relevant codes of practice within the jurisdiction where workers are engaged.
b) Diligently take reasonable measures to avert accidents and injuries within the work environment.
c) Establish a working environment that is both safe and hygienic, which includes providing access to sanitary toilet facilities and clean, potable water. Additionally, any worker
accommodations should be pristine, secure, and meet fundamental requirements.
d) Ensure the provision of essential supervision, training, instructions, equipment, resources, and information to all workers.
e) When applicable, supply personal protective equipment for the use of workers.
f) Guarantee that machinery safeguards meet or surpass local legal requirements.
g) Designate a senior management representative with the responsibility of overseeing health and safety matters.
Junior Adventures Group Suppliers are entrusted with the responsibility to minimise the ecological footprint of their activities and uphold environmentally conscious policies and practices. Suppliers are bound to adhere to all pertinent environmental laws and regulations, encompassing any obligations for management and reporting. Ensuring compliance, suppliers are expected to effectively address the environmental impact of their operations through the following measures:
a) Waste Management: All waste materials must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
b) Efficient Resource Utilisation: Suppliers are to uphold policies and practices that optimise energy consumption, water usage, and the utilisation of natural resources.
c) Pollution Prevention and Biodiversity Conservation: A focus on policies and practices that mitigate the risk of pollution, preserve biodiversity, prevent deforestation, safeguard
ecosystems, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions is paramount.
At Junior Adventures Group, we place a paramount emphasis on business integrity within our supplier relationships. We consider that our suppliers are vital partners in upholding the core values of business integrity within our operations. Maintaining business integrity goes beyond mere compliance with laws and regulations; it encompasses honest, transparent, and ethical practices in all aspects of our interactions. Suppliers are entrusted with maintaining the highest standards of conduct, which includes refraining from fraudulent, corrupt, or collusive activities that could undermine the trust and credibility we seek to build in our business relationships.
By adhering to these principles, suppliers contribute significantly to the creation of an ethical and trustworthy business environment, fostering mutually beneficial and enduring partnerships.
Suppliers must fully comply with all applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations. Under no circumstances should suppliers participate in or offer bribes, pay-offs, kickbacks, or any other improper benefits, whether directly or indirectly, regardless of their value.
Suppliers must treat all confidential information received from Junior Adventures Group with the utmost care and security. This includes, but is not limited to, customer data, trade secrets, and proprietary information. Suppliers are required to:
a) Safeguard Junior Adventures Group’s confidential information and intellectual property.
b) Use confidential information solely for the purposes outlined in the contractual agreements.
c) Handle all personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws for the regions they are operating in, including the Australian Privacy Principles.
Junior Adventures Group is dedicated to safeguarding children and young people, and as part of this commitment, we insist that all suppliers strictly adhere to the principles of the code of conduct highlighting the highest priority on the safety and well-being of children and young people, while also upholding ethical practices and full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Where sub-contracting is permitted, suppliers must have adequate processes in place for properly managing sub-contracting to ensure that sub-contractors operate in accordance with the requirements outlined in this document.
Supply chain governance is the backbone of our Supplier Code of Conduct policy. It serves as the guiding framework that ensures transparency, responsibility, and accountability throughout our supply chain. We recognise that our suppliers play a pivotal role in delivering products and services that meet our quality, ethics, and sustainability standards.
Therefore, our commitment to supply chain governance extends beyond our organisation and encompasses our entire network of suppliers.
We expect our suppliers to:
a) Actively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with their operations, especially those that could impact our partnership or ethical standards. This includes evaluating risks related to labour practices, environmental impact, compliance with laws and regulations, and business ethics. Suppliers are encouraged to establish comprehensive risk management
strategies and action plans to address these concerns effectively.
b) Promptly report and appropriately address any incidents or violations related to ethical, legal, or contractual obligations. This includes incidents involving bribery, corruption,
discrimination, environmental violations, or any other breach of our shared standards.
Suppliers must provide avenues for workers to report legal or ethical violations without fear of retribution.
A formal process should be in place for resolving grievances from employees or external parties.
All products and services must meet the quality and safety standards agreed upon between the Supplier and Junior Adventures Group.
Junior Adventures Group reserves the right to request its supplier to provide information for audit purposes and/or to inspect their facilities and operations.
