For many women, returning to work means juggling new routines, financial pressures and finding care that works for their children.

To support this transition, the Queensland Government has just announced a new $20 million initiative to help women re-enter the workforce, with grants of up to $5,000 to cover costs like childcare, job readiness, technology and workwear.

The new Women’s Career Grants program is designed for women aged over 18 who’ve been out of work for more than six months. It’s a practical step towards removing barriers and giving women the confidence and support they need to return to meaningful employment.

Making care more accessible

With up to $2,499 of the grant available for use in childcare support, this new QLD initiative is groundbreaking - easing financial pressures and supporting women’s economic security.

At OSHClub and Helping Hands Network, we understand how challenging it can be to find care that fits around your schedule. Our before and after school programs offer flexible, dependable options that work for your family. Whether you’re updating your resume, preparing for interviews or stepping into a new role, we’re here to make the transition smoother for you and your child.
